Where to Stay and What to Expect
Saracen Bay
This is the main beach, where most boats arrive. It’s long and curved, with soft white sand and shallow water. Guesthouses and bungalows line the shore, from simple to mid-range. Many places have open-air restaurants and hammocks under the trees.
Lazy Beach
On the other side of the island, Lazy Beach is quieter and more remote. It takes about 20–30 minutes to walk there through the forest. The beach is wide, and the sunsets here are some of the best in Cambodia.
Sunset Beach & M’Pai Bay
Sunset Beach is great for snorkeling and staying off-grid. M’Pai Bay, in the north, is a small fishing village with local homes and a few hostels. It’s the best area if you want to meet locals, eat budget food, or dive.
