Local Transport in Cities and Towns
Tuk-tuks
Most common and budget-friendly transport
Available everywhere national wise.
Agree on the price before the ride.
💡Tip: You can always check Grab or PassApp for transparent fares and wave down any Tuk-Tuk on the road.
Cambodian Tuk-tuk (Remorques) : Trailer type of Motorcycle which consider as Best Choice for Sightseeing due to it’s unique design on open spaces and good for 2 to 4 people. Remorque also available in Grab App. Also, ideally for Airport Transfer due to it’s available spaces.
Indian Tuk-tuk (Rickshaw) : A type of tricycle that consider as Easy to Travel in Short-Distance due to it’s number of availability and booking through ride hailing app. But it’s only fit for 2 people, 3 people would experience a bit of crumple.
Taxis
Less common on the street usually booked through apps or hotels.
Ideal for airport transfers or private day trips.
Some vehicles are unmarked but work like private cars.

Motorcycle or Bikes Rental

Widely available from Budget friendly to Higher Standard.
- Some company offer Sleeping Bus between Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville.

Private Taxi Transfer
Most favorite travel method between Province or Long Distance.
- Door to Door, pick-up and drop-off.
- More convenience compare to Buses due to higher Privacy.

💡Tip: Peace of mind by booking with your Hotel, and tell them what is your plan and desire traveling style. Generally, 2 breaks included. Ferries and Boats
Mostly used for island travel including Koh Rong, Koh Rong Samloem, Koh Sdach, Rabbit Island, and so on from Sihanoukville Port.
- Recently traveler could choose to travel from Kampot International Port to Sihanoukville, Island, Koh Kong, and vice versa.
- Transfer between Sihanoukville to Island would be 45min via Speed Ferries. or 1 to 3 hours with Fishing Boat at a cheaper cost (Not available daily).
