Getting Around

Getting around Phnom Penh is easy, with tuk-tuks being the most popular mode of transport. Motorbikes and bicycles are available for rent, though traffic can be intense. For a more comfortable ride, private taxis and cars can be booked through hotels or travel apps. Walking is possible in riverside areas and around major attractions like the Royal Palace and National Museum, but be cautious of traffic when crossing roads.

Remorque

A three-wheeled motorized cart, tuk-tuks are the most popular and convenient way to get around towns and cities. They’re ideal for short trips or local tours. Always agree on the price before riding, or use an app when available.

Rickshaw

These three-wheeled vehicles are the easiest to find. They’re great for short trips, or casual rides across the city.

Cyclo

A traditional mode of transport, the cyclo is a pedal-powered rickshaw with the passenger in front. It's slower and more scenic. Ideally for short, leisurely rides around Riverside, and Royal Palace.

Private Taxi

Taxis are available through hotels or apps like Grab, offering air-conditioned comfort for city rides or day trips. They’re more expensive than tuk-tuks but ideal for airport transfers or group travel.

Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH)

Phnom Penh’s airport is about 30 minutes from the city center. It's modern, with lounges, restaurants, and currency exchange services. (This airport will operate until JULY later will move to Techo International Airport)
